Secrets of Shangri La, a National Geographic Special airs on PBS at 7PM Wednesday November 18^th.   Filmed in the Kingdom of Mustang in north west Nepal by Aspen locals Morgan and Edgar Boyles, the film explores the discovery of ancient Buddhist art and sacred texts in remote high altitude caves.  Morgan Boyles a 2008 graduate of  Aspen High School and mountaineer, filmed North Face climbers Pete Athans and Renan Ozturk on climbs up rotten vertical rock faces to gain entry into cave complexes unvisited for centuries. What they found has challenged archeologists and anthropologists previously held ideas regarding the history of this remote region.
